GEOLOGIST – MULTIPLE OPENINGS
HOUSTON:
* Established Houston oil and gas company, almost completely focused on Oil production, is seeking an individual thoroughly experienced in finding hydrocarbons in carbonate environments. Solid carbonate experience and success will be easily evident somewhere in the right candidate's history of experience. This position will require an OIL FINDER GEOLOGIST with at least 20+ years of total experience. Relocation assistance is available for the right experience.
* Established oil and gas company is seeking an experienced operations GEOLOGIST to join their Eagle Ford team at their Houston, Texas office. Will handle the operational aspects of drilling and geosteering of the company’s Eagle Ford wells. Will assist in mapping as needed. 3+ years related experience required, horizontal shale experience preferred. Mapping and Petra experience required. Experience picking locations, working with engineers and landmen, and handling the geologic duties of helping drill a well required. Experience in drilling and geosteering horizontal wells a plus. Must be willing to work 24/7 and be a team player.
DALLAS:
* Established Dallas oil and gas company is seeking an EXPLORATION GEOLOGIST with Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico experience. 10+ years related experience required. Shale experience highly desired.
* Dallas based oil and gas startup company is seeking an experienced DEVELOPMENT GEOLOGIST. Company focused on shallow wells in South Texas. Responsibilities:

Provide technical
evaluation and recommendation for developing
acreage in South Texas
·
Able to work
independently and within an engineering team, develop regional plays and offset
locations as well as supervision of daily geological activities associated with
developing assets in South Texas.
·
Make recommendations and presentations to
management concerning the viability of projects
·
Monitor industry
activities and work with senior management to recommend forward strategy
·
Establish and
maintain strong relationships with other technical professionals in partner
companies and contractors
·
Seek and/or
develop exploitation opportunities in targeted areas
Qualifications:
·
Minimum of 8 years
industry experience, experience with a small independent is desirable
·
Must be able to
work independently with minimum direction and supervision alongside a small team
of G&G, Land, Drilling, and Engineering staff
·
Experience in
identifying own projects to develop and pursue as well as supporting projects
generated by the team
·
Experience with
Petra and Kingdom is required
·
Experience in exploitation and development in key asset areas; South Texas (Austin Chalk) experience is preferred.
·
Strong background
in horizontal drilling experience is preferred.
·
Experience in managing projects from cradle to
grave.
·
Strong written and
oral communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
